Design Approach
Afi was developed around the idea that a chair should feel at home in different settings without changing its character.
The project focused on achieving a balance between comfort, durability and visual clarity while maintaining a light and approachable expression.
Rather than relying on strong gestures, the design seeks to create character through proportion, materials and refinement.
The ambition was to create a chair that integrates naturally into its surroundings and remains relevant over time.
Material & Construction
The design combines a slender steel frame with shaped veneer elements and optional upholstery.
Each material contributes its own qualities to the overall experience, balancing warmth, comfort and durability.
The gently embracing backrest supports the body while maintaining a light visual appearance, and every detail has been carefully refined to achieve comfort and longevity in equal measure.
The result is a chair where contrasting materials work together as a balanced whole.
