Choice
Designed by Welling/Ludvik for Cane-line
Choice was developed around a simple idea: furniture should be able to adapt.
As our needs change over time, products are often replaced rather than adjusted. Choice explores a different approach, allowing the same chair to evolve through different functions, environments and expressions.
The result is a flexible seating system designed for a long and varied life.
Design Approach
The project began with an interest in creating a chair that could respond to changing needs without losing its identity.
Different bases, upholstery options and configurations allow the chair to move between indoor and outdoor settings, residential spaces and professional environments.
Rather than creating multiple specialised products, the ambition was to create a single platform capable of supporting many different situations.
The challenge was to introduce flexibility without introducing complexity.
Material & Construction
Choice is built around a lightweight shell made from recycled polypropylene.
The construction allows covers, bases and components to be replaced or updated over time, extending both the lifespan and adaptability of the product.
Designed for indoor and outdoor use, the collection moves easily between different environments while maintaining a consistent character.
The result is a chair where flexibility, durability and everyday use are closely connected.
