Pebble explores the beauty of small differences.
Inspired by stones shaped over time by wind and water, the project translates qualities found in nature into a family of stools and barstools defined by simplicity, tactility and character.
The result is a design where material and form work closely together.
Design Approach
The project began with an interest in the soft and irregular forms found in nature.
Pebbles found along a shoreline share a common character, yet no two are exactly alike. This observation became the starting point for the design.
Rather than creating a perfectly symmetrical seat, the ambition was to introduce subtle variation and allow each piece to reveal its own character.
The design explores how small differences can create richness without compromising simplicity.
Material & Construction
The seat is crafted from solid wood and carefully shaped to reveal the natural qualities of the material.
Its gently asymmetrical form highlights variations in grain, colour and texture, making every stool slightly unique.
The slender steel frame provides a quiet counterpoint to the organic softness of the seat, creating a balance between precision and natural expression.
The result is a family where craftsmanship, material and character come together in a simple form.
